2014- 2015 Mentorships
In 2014 the Academy for the Love of Learning and Siete del Norte and Chicanos por la Causa, Inc., with support from the City of Santa Fe, launched the pilot year of Inspire Santa Fe - a new citywide youth mentoring program that successfully united 46 young people (12-19 years old) with over 40 volunteer community members in areas of shared interest and passion such as medicine, architecture, law, cooking, dance, music and art. The mentors and protégés worked together 2 hours/week on average throughout the 2014-2015 school year and showcased their work at an end-of-year festival on May 1, 2015 at the Santa Fe Railyard Farmer’s Market Pavilion.
