Soccer - Seth Biderman with                Sebastian Lopez

Seth Biderman - Seth is Manager of the Institute for Teaching at the Academy for the Love of Learning. A Santa Fe native and graduate of Santa Fe's public schools, Seth has taught people of all ages in a variety of formal and informal settings in the United States and South America. From 2006 to 2008, Seth was assistant director of the Mentorship Program at Monte del Sol Charter School in Santa Fe, where he worked closely with Paquita Hernandez to learn the model of transformative mentoring that has been adapted for Inspire Santa Fe.

Sebastian Lopez - Sebastian Lopez was born in London, and moved to Santa Fe when he was 3 months old. He is a 7th grader at MIMS. He loves to play soccer, which is what his mentorship is with Seth Biderman.


Culinary Arts - Jane Price with Honoree   Gaugy

Jane Price - Jane Price enjoys being a longtime resident of Santa Fe.  She is a dedicated Postpartum Doula, caring for babies through her business, Mothering Mothers. Another passion is her business, Tea Rose Baking. “Homemade desserts” for holidays and all occasions are her speciality. “I love nurturing, and baking is another creative way to express it. Baking a cake, with organic local ingredients, and sharing my knowledge of the kitchen, including through mentoring, just as my mother did for me, passes on a deeply satisfying generational gift.”

Honoree Gaugy - Honoree Gaugy is an eighth grader at Mandela International Magnet School.

Culinary Arts - Catherine O'Brien with      Alyvia Hogan

Catherine O'Brien - Catherine O'Brien received her formal chef's training and earned her Culinary Degree with high honors from Johnson and Wales University in Rhode Island. Some of Catherine's 25 years of experience include Executive Chef of the University Club in Baltimore, Maryland, Chef Garde Manger at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress in Orlando, Florida and Corporate Catering Chef for the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C.

Alyvia Hogan - Alyvia is a seventh grader at Mandela International Magnet School.


             Baseball - Jesse Bartlett with                   Michael Hernandez

Jesse Bartlett - Jesse Bartlett is Monte del Sol’s head baseball coach. He played for the Dragons when they went 23-3 and made it to the Class AA quarterfinals in 2007. He returned in 2009 to be the head coach of the middle school baseball team, and he has been assistant coach for the high school team ever since.

Michael Hernandez -  I was born on October 31st, 2001. I go to Mandela International Magnet School. I am in 7th grade, and my favorite hobby is playing baseball, and getting better at playing baseball. I am 13.
